Rules, scoring, and controls
Two-player Rummy 500
Each player gets 13 cards. Draw from the stock or discard pile, play any legal melds and lay-offs, then discard one card. A set is three or four equal ranks. A run is three or more consecutive cards in one suit. Aces are high, so Q-K-A is legal and A-2-3 is not. You may go out by melding, laying off, or discarding your final card.
Deep pickups and scoring
You may take any discard plus every newer card above it. The newest may be held, but not thrown straight back. For a deeper pickup, the chosen card must be the first table play. A round ends when someone empties their hand or after the turn that draws the last stock card. Score played cards minus held cards: aces 15, faces 10, numbers face value. Highest score at or above 500 wins; a tie continues.
Mouse, touch, and keyboard
Tap cards to select them, then use Meld or Discard. Tap a table meld to lay off one selected card. Drag a card to a meld, the table, or discard pile. With focus in your hand, use Left and Right to move and Enter to select. Shortcuts: S stock, T newest discard, M meld, D discard, H hint, U undo, Escape cancel.
