Rules, scoring, and controls

Strict one-suit rules

  • This game uses 104 cards: eight copies of every rank, all treated as spades.
  • The first four columns start with six cards; the other six start with five. Only each top card begins face up.
  • Move one face-up card or a contiguous descending run onto a card exactly one rank higher. Any legal card or run may fill an empty column.
  • Exposed cards turn face up. A complete King-to-Ace run is removed automatically. Remove all eight runs to win.
  • The stock has five rows of ten. A row may be dealt only while every column contains a card.

Scoring and fairness

Score starts at 500. Every successful move, deal, or undo costs 1 point; every completed run adds 100. Illegal attempts never change the board, action count, or score. New Game uses crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling and unbiased Fisher–Yates. Random deals are not promised to be solvable. Restart restores the exact displayed Deal ID.

Mouse, touch, and keyboard

Drag a face-up card or descending run directly onto a legal column. On touch screens, drag the cards while the felt and gaps remain available for scrolling. You can also click or tap a card, then choose a marked target. With a card focused, use arrow keys to navigate and Enter or Space to select. Use Esc to cancel, D to deal, H for a legal hint, U or Ctrl Z to undo, R to restart, and N for a new deal.

Selection, hint, rejection, and terminal messages use words and shapes as well as color. The display follows system light/dark, high-contrast, and reduced-motion preferences. Play is local to this page: no account, storage, tracking, or remote request is used by the game.
